Pork Adobo with Tofu

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Pork, cubed
  • 14 ounces Tofu, cubed and deep fried
  • 2 tbsp. Oyster Sauce
  • 4 pieces dried Bay Leaves
  • 5 cloves Garlic, crushed
  • 6 tbsp. Datu Puti Soy Sauce
  • 4 tbsp. Datu Puti Vinegar
  • 1 cup Water
  • 2 tspn. Sugar
  • 2 tbsp. Cooking Oil
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  1. Heat oil in a cooking pot.
  2. Saute garlic until color turns light brown.
  3. Add pork and cook for 3 to 5 minutes or until the color turns light brown.
  4. Pour in Datu Puti Soy Sauce, oyster sauce, and water. Let boil and simmer for 45 minutes or until the pork becomes tender.
  5. Add Datu Puti Vinegar and wait until the liquid boils. Stir.
  6. Add sugar and fried tofu. Cook for 3 minutes.
  7. Add salt and pepper to taste. Stir.
  8. Remove from heat and serve.
