Adobong Dilaw



  • 2 lbs. Pork, sliced
  • ½ cup Datu Puti Vinegar
  • 1 small yellow Onion, minced
  • 1 knob Turmeric, sliced
  • 6 cloves Garlic, crushed
  • 4 dried Bay Leaves
  • 1 pc. Pork or Beef Cube (or 2 tsp Beef Powder)
  • ½ teaspoon granulated White Sugar
  • 1 cup Water
  • 2 tsp. Peppercorn
  • 3 tbsp. Cooking Oil
  1. Heat the cooking oil in a pot.
  2. Put in the garlic and then cook until the color turns light brown.
  3. Add the onion, and cook for a minute before putting in the sliced turmeric, peppercorn, and bay leaves. Cook for about 15 seconds.
  4. Add the pork slices. Cook while stirring once in a while until the pork turns light brown.
  5. Add pork or beef cubes (or powder), then let boil.
  6. Cover the pot and then let simmer for 30 to 45 minutes (add water as necessary).
  7. Pour Datu Puti vinegar to taste. Let boil before stirring in sugar.
  8. Remove from heat and serve.
