Adobong Balut



  • 6 Balut Eggs, shell removed
  • 1 tsp. Sugar
  • 2 cloves Garlic, finely minced
  • 1 Onion (medium size)
  • ½ cup Datu Puti Soy Sauce
  • ½ cup Datu Puti Vinegar
  • Bay Leaf
  • 1 tbsp. freshly ground Black Pepper
  • Cooking Oil
  1. Saute garlic and onion in a frying pan until it gets infused with the flavor of the garlic.
  2. Add balut, fry then add the Datu Puti Soy Sauce and Datu Puti Vinegar.
  3. Bring to a boil without stirring, simmer.
  4. Slowly swirl the pan to coat the balut with the sauce.
  5. Add the bay leaf. And the freshly ground black pepper.
  6. Simmer for another 5 minutes then swirl until the balut is thoroughly coated with the sauce.
